Allowing doctors, specialists to take night-off against set norms: DHSK

Srinagar: The Directorate of Health Services Kashmir on Wednesday said that some hospital administrators are allowing specialists, doctors to take night-off which is against norms.

In this regard, hospital administrators have been directed to strictly monitor the attendance of the specialists and any dereliction shall be viewed seriously.

“It has been observed that the hospital administrators are allowing on-call specialists/doctors to take night-off, which is against the set norms as prescribed.” Reads the circular issued by Director Health Services Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, a copy of which lies with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

It adds that “As such enjoined upon all the hospital administrators not allow this practice henceforth and strictly monitor the attendance of the specialists. Any dereliction in this matter shall be viewed seriously. Further, compliance report in this regard may be shared with this Directorate.”—(KNO)
