Srinagar, Nov 08: With the arrival of autumn, Kashmir’s landscape has transformed into mesmerizing canvas of golden and reddish hues.

Locally referred to as ‘harud’, this seasonal transition from September to November has once again captivated the hearts of both locals and tourists who have flocked to the region to witness the breathtaking colors of fall.

Likewise, Kashmir’s autumnal charm is a sight to behold as the lush green valleys and towering Chinar trees gracefully shed their leaves, creating a stunning mosaic of colors that blend seamlessly with the tranquil lakes and snow-capped mountains.

Speaking with joy and happiness while enjoying the beautiful scenes in Kashmir, many tourists who spoke to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said they haven’t seen beautiful places like Kashmir, and it’s a real heaven on earth.

Similarly, visitors from across the world have also been amazed by Kashmir’s autumn beauty, while one of the tourists, Sara from Gujrat said, “I have traveled to many places, but the colors of autumn in Kashmir are simply breathtaking, and it’s a unique experience that everyone should witness.”

Another tourist Amit Kumar from Maharashtra added that, apart from the beauty of Autumn, the Dal Lake, with its serene houseboats and floating gardens, has become a focal point and a must-visit place while visiting Kashmir.

“The shikara rides on the lake offer a chance to immerse oneself in the kaleidoscope of colors, with vibrant reflections on the water’s surface.”

Moreover, locals also described the magic of this season, saying autumn in Kashmir is a time of renewal and reflection. “The transformation of our surroundings is a reminder of nature’s beauty, and it brings a sense of calm to our hearts.”

It is worth mentioning that as the autumn season continues to unfold, Kashmir remains a top destination for nature enthusiasts and wanderers seeking solace in the midst of nature’s grand spectacle. Some of the must-visit places during this season include Naseem Bagh – Kashmir University campus, Shalimar Gardens, Chinar Bagh Dal Gate Srinagar, among others, where the sight of children playing in fallen leaves or simply taking in the picturesque reminder of the unparalleled beauty of the natural world—(KNO)
