SHOPIAN, AUGUST 23: The District Election Officer (DEO) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb today reviewed arrangements with Returning Officers and Nodal officers for efficient, transparent and smooth conduct of General elections to Assembly Constituencies of Zainapora and Shopian in a meeting at Mini Secretariat Shopian.

DEO briefed the Nodal officers on their respective duties and called for effective execution of Election Plans. He instructed concerned to ensure effective coordination for the smooth and successful conduct of the election process.

He also reviewed AMF, SVEEP, MCMC, Logistics & Material, Trainings, EVM & Manpower management and other related issues.

The Elections are scheduled to be held on September, 18 during the first phase for both 36- Zainapora and 37- Shopian ACs.

251 Polling stations have been set up with Assured Minimum Facilities across the district to enable 2, 09,039 electorate to choose their representatives to the Legislative Assembly.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr.Nasir Ahmad Lone; ROs, Nodal Officers, Dy DEO and other concerned officers and officials.
