DODA, AUGUST 24: In preparation for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024, the District Election Office Doda organized an extensive training session for election staff members here in the Community Hall, DC Office Complex.
District Election Officer Harvinder Singh and SSP Mohammad Aslam attended the session.
In his address, Harvinder Singh emphasized the importance of thorough preparation and adherence to election protocols. He discussed ECI guidelines for managing polling stations effectively to ensure a fair, transparent, and orderly voting process.
Special emphasis was placed on the training of female election staff, recognizing their vital role in the democratic exercise. “The involvement of female staff in the election process will not only promote gender equality but also encourages greater participation among women voters” the DEO said. The District Election Officer highlighted that active participation of female staff in the election process would inspire all eligible voters to exercise their right to vote and engage in this democratic exercise. This inclusivity is crucial in ensuring that every section of society is represented in the electoral process.
The session concluded with the District Election Officer directing all trainees to strictly follow the guidelines and instructions provided during the training. He reiterated the importance of being vigilant and prepared for any challenges that may arise on election-day. The training session was a significant step towards ensuring that the upcoming elections are conducted smoothly and that every voter in the district is able to cast their vote without any hindrance.
