RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 19: In compliance with the directions of District Election Officer Abhishek Sharma and under the supervision of District Nodal Officer SVEEP, Bishamber Dass (CEO), a Mega Balloon Rally was organized here today. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 900 students and staff from eleven government and private schools of Rajouri Township.

The rally was flagged off by the DNO SVEEP in the presence of Principal BMHSS, Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Principal GMHSS Gulzar Hussain, members of the District SVEEP team, and officials from YSS Rajouri.

Students, holding tricolor Balloons and placards with slogans highlighting the importance of Voting Right, assembled on the Mini Sports Stadium. A collective voters’ pledge was taken to promote electoral participation.

After the pledge, the rally proceeded through various streets and markets of Rajouri, chanting slogans about the right to vote and highlighting the importance of voting in a democracy.

The primary objective of the rally was to raise awareness about the voting day scheduled on 25th September- the second phase of Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections. The rally urged the public to cast their votes in large numbers to elect the candidate of their choice. The rally concluded at General Bus Stand, with staff from participating schools accompanying the students throughout the event.

This event marked a significant effort by the District SVEEP Cell Rajouri to enhance voter awareness and participation in the democratic process.
