BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 17: In a bid to enhance voter awareness and engagement, a mega SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) event was held today at Higher Secondary School (HSS) Bomai in the 08-Rafiabad Assembly Constituency.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and local community members.
The primary objective of the event was to encourage voters to exercise their right in the upcoming elections on 1st October 2024. Participants actively pledged to vote, reflecting a strong commitment to the democratic process.
The event featured a lively rally and captivating cultural performances that underscored the importance of voting. Additionally, as part of the Green Election initiative, a plantation drive was conducted to promote environmental sustainability and enhance the community’s green spaces.
District Nodal Officer for SVEEP emphasized the significance of the event. He said the District Election Office Baramulla is actively organizing such events across the district to engage voters, especially new ones, and reinforce democratic values while promoting a sustainable future.
