GANDERBAL, OCTOBER 05: In preparation for the upcoming counting of votes for the General Elections to the Legislative Assembly 2024, scheduled for October 8, a special training session was conducted today for the contesting candidates and their counting agents in two Assembly Constituencies of District Ganderbal.

The session was held at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat, Ganderbal which was presided over by the Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani.

The training, organized by the District Election Officer, aimed to ensure transparency and efficiency during the vote-counting process.

Contesting candidates and their agents were given detailed instructions on the protocols and procedures that will be followed during the counting of votes. Special emphasis was placed on the rules and regulations mandated by the Election Commission of India, ensuring that all stakeholders are well-informed and prepared for a smooth counting process.

During the session, District Level Master Trainers briefed attendees on the use of technology in the counting process, the handling of postal ballots, and the role of counting agents in maintaining fairness. Demonstrations on how votes from the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be counted and cross-verified were also conducted, providing clarity on each step of the process.
