UDHAMPUR, MARCH 18: In a routine inspection, the Assistant Controller Drugs, Udhampur Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, along with Drug Control Officers, conducted a surprise inspection of the Mand area in Udhampur.
During the inspection at various medical shops, gross violations were observed at M/s Mahadev Medicos, Mand, concerning the conditions of drug licenses and the maintenance of records for Schedule H1 drugs.
Assistant Controller Drugs immediately directed the concerned DCO to halt the sale of drugs at the establishment under Section 22(d) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and the rules framed thereunder.
Further investigations will be carried out and strict regulatory action will be taken against the violators, if any violations related to the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan are found.
Assistant Controller Drugs, Sanjeev Kumar Gupta emphasized that under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, and the directives of the State Drug Controller, no individual involved in the misuse of psychotropic drugs will be spared.
