Awareness cum Counselling camp hosted for Sheep breeders at Samba

JAMMU, OCTOBER 24: An Awareness cum Counselling camp regarding Breed Based Farms under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) was organized by Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu for Entrepreneurs/Farmer Producer Organizations/Farmer Cooperatives/ Breeders of Jammu division here at Principal Sheep & Wool Workers’ Training Class Kartholi, Samba.

A large number of farmers desirous to avail the benefits under the schemes participated in the camp. The farmers interacted with the senior officers of the Department and NABARD and learnt about the modalities of the schemes.

DDM NABARD Shalesh Sharma briefed farmers about bank loans regarding KCC, Term loans, various schemes like FPO, its objectives and benefits. He also addressed various banking issues of the farmers during the interaction.

Those who were present on the occasion included Dr. Tara Chand, Joint Director Extension, Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu, Dr. Surinder Gupta, Deputy Director Central Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu, Dr. Anil Kumar Kaul, APO Jammu, District Sheep Husbandry Officers Dr. Farhat Bashir, Dr. Javid Iqbal Mir, Dr. R.K. Manhas, Dr. Deepak Kitchloo, Dr. Pritam Manhas, Principal Training Class Kartholi, Dr. Vijay Kumar, Officer Incharge, PTC Kartholi, Dr. Pankaj Sharma, VAS and Asheesh Sharma, Publicity Officer, Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu.
