UDHAMPUR, MARCH 27: One day awareness programme under the aegis of Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was held today at Government Higher Secondary School Latti here in which more than 1000 persons participated.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dudu, Dr. Manmeet Kumar, whom was the Chief Guest on the occasion, in his address highlighted the importance of participation in Democracy through voting.
Principal, Puran Singh, while speaking on the occasion, appealed the people to cast vote on 19th of April i.e upcoming Parliamentary elections.
During the programme, students also delivered speeches and presented songs and skits on the importance of SVEEP. Through a skit, the students also encouraged the Divyang persons and their family members on importance of casting the vote.
Tehsildar Latti, BDO Latti, BLO’s, former PRI Members, Asha Workers, Anganwadi Workers, staff of different schools, Police, Media, students and locals at large participated in the programme.
