RAMBAN, JUNE 4: In the lead-up to International Yoga Day 2025, the AYUSH Department Ramban, under the overall guidance of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, today organized a comprehensive AYUSH and Yoga awareness session at the Community Hall Maitra.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, students, and healthcare workers, reflecting growing interest in embracing yoga as a sustainable lifestyle practice.

The awareness session was spearheaded by District Nodal Officer AYUSH Dr. Suresh Sharma, who led practical demonstrations of essential yoga techniques designed to enhance physical vitality and mental clarity.

He was accompanied by District Yoga Coordinator Dr. Masood Iqbal and Medical Officer Dr. Netu. The AYUSH team explained the stress-reducing benefits of yoga.

The team also introduced the participants to the broader AYUSH systems—Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy—emphasizing their roles in strengthening immunity and fostering balanced living.

AYUSH Department plans to conduct a series of such awareness programs across the district in the run-up to the International Day of Yoga on June 21, in alignment with the national objective of integrating AYUSH into mainstream healthcare.
