RAMBAN, JUNE 6: The Department of AYUSH, in collaboration with the Education Department Ramban, organized a Yoga Camp at Government Higher School Sanasar today, as a prelude to the 10th International Day of Yoga 2024. The Mega Yoga Camp, themed “Yoga for Women Empowerment,” was a significant step towards promoting health and well-being among women.

The event was led by a dedicated team from AYUSH Ramban, headed by District Yoga Coordinator, Dr. Masood Iqbal, and included Medical Officer, Dr. Showket Mir, Senior Pharmacist, Shashi Kant Sharma and Sajid Hussain, Yoga Expert.

The Yoga camp was conducted under the guidance of Deputy Director Jammu, Suresh Kumar, and the Director of AYUSH J&K, Dr. Mohan Singh.

The camp commenced with a lecture on the importance of yoga for women’s well-being delivered by Dr. Masood Iqbal Zarger followed by insightful talks from Lecturer Anil Sharma and Principal Rajesh Sharma.

The theme-based Yoga Asanas were then demonstrated by Dr. Masood Iqbal, engaging about 430 students from Government Higher Secondary School Sanasar in various sessions of Yoga Asanas and a lecture/symposium session.

In addition to the yoga sessions, the AYUSH Department distributed immunity-boosting medicines. Principal GHSS Sanasar also organized a symposium competition on Yoga, featuring participants from both boys’ and girls’ sections, enhancing the interactive and educational experience of the camp.

The Principal also expressed his gratitude to Dr. Masood Iqbal Zarger and his team from AYUSH, as well as the school staff and participating students, for their efforts in making this program a grand success.
