Bandipora, November 13: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Athar Aamir Khan Monday visited Shilvat Panchayat Halqa of Sumbal Subdivision Bandipora as Visiting Officer under ongoing flagship ‘Back to Village-5’ program to assess the development issues and needs of the people.
On the occasion, the Commissioner received an overwhelming welcome by the locals and PRIs.
Athar Aamir, along with other officers, inspected the stalls of various departments showcasing their services and achievements .
He interacted with PRIs, social activists, youth clubs and locals to take stock of their issues concerning welfare and development of their areas. He listened to the issues raised by the participants on the occasion.
Seniors citizens and Representatives of Panchayats projected their demands before the visiting officer and sought redressal of their issues.
The Officer distributed sports kits among the students and athletes,baby kita under BBBP,, Soil health cards and land passbooks and artisan certificates among beneficiaries.
On the occasion, the commissioner stated that the outreach program, B2V5, involves the people of Union Territory and the government officials in a joint effort to deliver the mission of equitable development across all rural areas.
