Bandipora continues Anti-Drug Awareness Drive with Poster Exhibitions, Rallies across Institutions

BANDIPORA, MAY 02: The ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan continued across Bandipora district on Saturday with a series of poster exhibitions, awareness rallies, pledge ceremonies, and awareness activities organised in educational institutions to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

Students and staff members actively participated in the programmes and highlighted the social, psychological, and physical consequences of substance abuse through creative posters, placards, banners, and awareness messages promoting a healthy and drug-free society.

Poster exhibitions under Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan were organised at HS Kanzalwan, PM SHRI HSS Shahgund, GHSS Gadakhud, Govt HSS Purana Tulail Gurez, BHSS Aloosa, HSS Hajin, GHS Naidkhai, HS Tarabal, HS Ketson, HS Koragbal, HS Wanpora Gurez, GHS Plan, Model Public Secondary School Onagam, GHS Garoora, GMS Town, Boys Middle School Nadihal, GMS CB Payeen and several other institutions across the district.

Government High School Jurniyal, in collaboration with the Indian Army, organised an awareness rally under Nasha Mukt Abhiyan to sensitise the public, especially youth, about the dangers of substance abuse. Students participated enthusiastically carrying placards and raising anti-drug slogans. A banner exhibition was also organised at HS Jurniyal Tulail.

High School Kehnusa organised an art gallery display programme under the campaign where students showcased meaningful artworks highlighting the importance of a drug-free society, while PM SHRI HSS Shadipora held an awareness session and mass pledge ceremony.

Meanwhile, HSS Shahgund conducted an awareness drive among shopkeepers regarding implementation of COTPA regulations and displayed notices prohibiting sale of tobacco products near educational institutions.

The activities witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and community members, reflecting the growing collective commitment towards achieving the vision of a drug-free Bandipora under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan.
