RAJOURI, MARCH 07: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today flagged off a mega rally of students, fervently championing the cause of gender equality and saving girl child through the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme.
The rally was organised by the Social Welfare Department. It started from the DC office and culminated at PWD Dakbunglow Rajouri. The event aimed to raise awareness about the challenges faced by the girl child and underscore the significance of education in fostering a more equitable society.
The BBBP scheme stands as a testament to the commitment of the Government to addressing gender discrimination and advancing women’s empowerment across the nation.
The DC emphasized the multifaceted objectives of the BBBP scheme, which extends beyond education to challenge ingrained gender bias.
