DODA, JULY 24: The district administration of Doda, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, organized Block Diwas events at various locations across the district to address public issues and grievances.

The main event was presided over by the District Development Commissioner Harvinder Singh at Higher Secondary School (HSS) Chilly Paien, Block Chilly Pingal. During this public outreach program, all district and sector officers accompanied DC Doda to facilitate grievance redressal and raise awareness about various individual and community welfare schemes.

In addition to the primary event, similar programs were held at the sub-divisional level. These events were presided over by the Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) and Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) in their respective areas. The Block Diwas events are part of a broader initiative to ensure that the administration is responsive to the needs of the public and actively works towards resolving their issues.

The Block Diwas events were held at multiple locations, including Bhaderwah at Panchayat Ghar Dradhoo Block, Thathri at Community Hall Thalella, and Assar at Panchayat Ghar Chill Block Assar. These events saw active participation from the local populace, who voiced their concerns and received information on various government schemes aimed at improving their quality of life.

The weekly Block Diwas was also successfully held at Dradhu, Bhaderwah, chaired by the ADC Bhaderwah, Sudershan Kumar, bringing together key officials and local representatives to address public issues and streamline development activities in the area.

During the public outreach program, DC Doda directed the health department to ensure that the availability of doctors should be maintained in the health centres. The Deputy Commissioner also assured that all the issues and grievances would be resolved in a stipulated time. The DC also had positive interactions with the students of Higher Secondary School Chilly.

The DC also visited the newly constructed building of Higher Secondary School Chilly along with staff and officers. During the event, a pledge regarding the Nasha Mukti Bharat Abhiyan was conducted.
