UDHAMPUR, JULY 31: In a significant step towards agricultural diversification and income enhancement for farmers, the Chief Agriculture Officer Udhampur, Sanjay Anand organized a transformative training initiative.
A group of 20 farmers is being sent on a tour to Bhaderwah for Lavender farming training, aiming to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to embrace a new agricultural practice.
In a bid to mitigate these challenges and open new avenues for income generation, the introduction of lavender farming presents a promising opportunity. Lavender, with its versatile uses in the cosmetic, medicinal, and culinary industries, not only offers a more resilient alternative to traditional crops but also holds the potential to substantially increase farmers’ incomes.
