Capacity building programme for EMRS staff concludes at NZATI Jammu

JAMMU, JULY 09: A three-day Capacity Building Programme on Public Financial Management System (PFMS), Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and preparation of final accounts including income and expenditure account and balance sheet, for principals and staff of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS), Tribal Affairs Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir was conducted at Northern Zonal Accountancy Training Institute (NZATI), Jammu from 7 to 9 July 2026.

The concluding session was held under the guidance and supervision of Director Finance/Principal NZATI Rajesh Talwar.

The programme aimed to strengthen the financial management capabilities of EMRS functionaries while promoting transparency, accountability and efficiency in financial administration. It was attended by Vandana Sharma (EMRS Principal, Salia, Anantnag), Amit (I/C EMRS Principal, Tangmarg), Vikki Sharma (EMRS Principal, Mendhar, Poonch), Shafaqat Hussain (EMRS Principal, Gurez, Bandipora), JP Singh Jamwal (EMRS Principal, Gurdhanbala, Rajouri) and Ranjan Kumar (EMRS Principal, Hubbi Koteranka) along with Junior Secretariat Assistants, Accountants and other designated officials from EMRS institutions across the Union Territory.

The programme provided participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in government financial procedures, digital procurement systems and statutory accounting practices, enabling them to strengthen financial governance in their respective institutions.
