Srinagar, Aug 04 : The ongoing Chinar Book Festival at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) Srinagar is turning into a major attraction for students across the Valley, with packed halls, interactive sessions and enthusiastic participation from young minds.

As per details received by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), students from various colleges and schools are attending the event in large numbers, showing growing interest in literature, creative ideas and career-related discussions.

One of the students present at the function said, this festival opened his mind. He said he had never visited such a festival before and here in this festival he enjoyed a lot and learned too much.

“This session helped me relate classroom learning with the real world,” said Danish Ahmad, another student present at the festival.

Meanwhile, booksellers said they were thrilled to see the youth engaging with books and big ideas. “This is not just a book event, but it is a space for young people to ask questions, share views and grow creatively,” said a bookseller.

Notably, earlier at the festival’s inauguration, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had said India is witnessing an economic, cultural and scientific renaissance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The festival was inaugurated on August 02 and is ongoing for nine days
