COVID-19 weans off in J&K; Only 42 cases reported in 24 Hrs

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Monday reported 42 fresh cases pushing the number of active cases to 682 while as no death was reported in last 24 hours in the UT.
With no more death, the death toll in J&K stands at 4,748 and 42 fresh positive cases reported on Monday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 452,997.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 42 new cases, 20 belong to Kashmir division while as 22 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 287,051 including 284,367 recoveries and 2,423 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 165,946 including 163,200 recoveries and 2,325 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 682 including 261 from Kashmir division and 421 from Jammu division.
With 148 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 447,567 which is 98.80 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 06 from Srinagar, 06 from Baramulla, 03 from Budgam, 00 from Pulwama, 02 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 01 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 02 from Kulgam and 00 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 22 from Jammu division include 11 from Jammu district, 02 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 03 from Doda, 02 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 03 from Poonch, 01 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 102,206 positive cases including 907 deaths and 101,146 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,584 including 304 deaths and 37,240 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,801 including 34,546 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,416 including 18,215 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,711 including 174 deaths and 21,527 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,419 including 22,193 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,671 cases including 13,543 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,626 including 13,539 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,313 including 16,179 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,304 including 6,239 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 75,974 including 74,577 recoveries and 1,222 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,759 including 14,603 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,798 including 12,543 recoveries and 249 deaths are from Rajouri, 11,491 including 11,205 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,402 including 11,205 recoveries and 166 deaths are from Kathua, 9,082 including 8,944 recoveries and 125 deaths are from Samba, 5,879 including 5,826 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,737 including 7,612 recoveries and 110 deaths are from Poonch, 8,125 including 8,037 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,699 including 8,648 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,115,016 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 30,132 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 682 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,619,802 persons have completed the surveillance period and 459,652 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 23,274,568 samples are available. Out of 23,274,568 the number of samples tested negative stands at 22,821,571 while as 452,997 have tested positive, among them 682 cases are active, 447,567 have recovered and 4,748 persons have died—(KNO)
