COVID: J&K reports 152 fresh cases, no death

'Srinagar records 28 cases', active cases 1,039 in J&K

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Friday reported 152 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the number of active cases to 1,039 while no more death was reported in the UT in the last 24 hours and death toll stands at 4,782.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 152 new cases,112 belong to Kashmir division while as 40 to Jammu division.

He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 304,346 including 301,129 recoveries and 2,432 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 173,737 including 171,133 recoveries and 2,350 deaths.

He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,039 including 785 from Kashmir division and 254 from Jammu division.

With 164 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 472,262 which is 98.80 percent of the total cases.

“Among the fresh 152 cases today, 28 are from Srinagar,27 from Baramulla, 21 from Budgam, 10 from Pulwama, 06 from Kupwara, 01 from Anantnag, 02 from Bandipora, 07 from Ganderbal, 09 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while 40 are from Jammu division that include 27 from Jammu district, 03 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 00 from Kuthua , 03 from Samba, 02 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 03 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” said the official.

As per the daily information bulletin 6,698,851 persons in J&K are under observation while 167 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 1,039 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 6,692,479 persons have completed the surveillance period and 384 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 26,476,825 samples are available.

“Out of 26,476,825 the number of samples tested negative stands at 25,998,742 while 478,083 have tested positive, among them 1,039 cases are active, 472,262 have recovered and 4,782 persons have died,” it added—(KNO)
