JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 22: Director Agriculture Jammu (DAJ) Anil Gupta today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the implementation status of various departmental schemes including the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), JKCIP, NABARD, CSS and CAPEX in Jammu, Samba, Udhampur, Kishtwar, Reasi and Doda districts.
The meeting focused on reviewing the physical and financial achievements against the targets allocated, besides assessing the progress of approved programmes, expenditure position and implementation of ongoing developmental activities across the six districts.
The meeting was attended by SMS RL Jammu Krishant Kant, Chief Agriculture Officer Doda Harbans Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer Udhampur Vikas Padha, Chief Agriculture Officer Kishtwar Kushal Chandel, Chief Agriculture Officer Samba Rakesh Khajuria, Chief Agriculture Officer Reasi Dolly John, District Agriculture Officer Jammu Vinod Kumar Khajuria, Subject Matter Specialists, officers from Planning and CSS sections and other senior officers of the Department.
During the meeting, the Director undertook a detailed scheme-wise review of the physical and financial progress, implementation of approved programmes and status of ongoing developmental works in the concerned districts.
He also assessed the field-level implementation of various farmer-oriented initiatives and sought feedback from the concerned officers regarding issues and challenges being faced in execution.
Anil Gupta stressed the need for timely and effective implementation of all departmental programmes, with particular emphasis on achieving the prescribed physical and financial targets within the stipulated timelines. He directed the officers to maintain close coordination at the field level, accelerate the pace of implementation and ensure optimum utilisation of available resources.
The Director further emphasised that the benefits of various government schemes and farmer-oriented initiatives must reach the farming community in a transparent, efficient and time-bound manner. He called upon the officers to remain proactive in resolving field-level issues, strengthen outreach to farmers and ensure effective dissemination of information regarding available schemes and interventions.
Anil Gupta laid special emphasis on the implementation of the Aatmanirbharta in Pulses initiative and directed the concerned officers to ensure achievement of all targets earmarked for the current financial year. He stressed the importance of focused field-level interventions and close monitoring to ensure tangible outcomes under the initiative.
The Director also called for regular monitoring of the progress of ongoing activities and directed the concerned officers to ensure timely compliance with the decisions taken during the review meeting.
