ANANTNAG, JUNE 19: Ahead of the upcoming Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela scheduled on June 22, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat today visited the revered Mata Ragniya Bhagwati Temple, Logripora Aishmuqam and took first hand stock of arrangements that have been put in place by various line departments for smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

The DC was accompanied by ADC, ACR, SDM Pahalgam, CMO, Tehsildar, BDO, BMO, officials of R&B, KPDCL & Jal Shakti, EO MC Ashmuqam, and other concerned officials.

Reviewing the arrangements, the DC instructed that all essential facilities including water supply, electricity, accomodation and bedding be provided to the devotees in a smooth and hassle free manner. He inquired from the concerned officers about deployment of fire tenders, installation of Shamiyana, availability of LPG for langars and blankets for devotees besides the status of special RTC bus service for ferrying the pilgrims. He further called for extending the necessary logistical support to the devotees and pilgrims visiting the place for their ease, convenience and pleasant experience.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner met with the community representatives, assuring them of full administrative support so they perform the religious activities in a traditional and comfortable way. He also interacted with the devotees, stressing for preserving the religious and cultural significance of the place.

Dr. Bilal emphasized the importance of close coordination between line departments and community members to facilitate organisation of religious and other associated activities. He further asked the departments to ensure proper functioning of their deployed units for smooth execution of the assigned tasks.

The community representatives and the devotees appreciated the district administration for extending full cooperation and assistance during the auspicious days.
