DODA, JUNE 07: The preparations for the celebration of International Yoga Day were reviewed by Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh here today at a meeting held in the mini conference hall of the DC office complex. The upcoming event will be celebrated at Gatha Resort Park in Bhaderwah on June 21. The official theme for International Yoga Day 2024 is “Yoga for Women Empowerment.”
The DC emphasized the importance of making the Yoga Day celebrations a grand success. He directed all departments to ensure thorough preparations, including adequate facilities for participants, security measures, and medical assistance on the day of the event. He also stressed the need for wide publicity to encourage maximum participation from schools and the public.
Further arrangements discussed included setting up a dedicated area for yoga practice, ensuring the availability of drinking water and organizing a cultural program to highlight the benefits of yoga.
The meeting was attended by CPO Manesh Kumar; District Program Officer ICDS Parmjeet Singh and other functionaries from police and civil administration.
