DC evaluates progress of work on PMGSY Projects in Poonch District

POONCH, JANUARY 16: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal convened a meeting today with functionaries from the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) here in the Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex to review the progress of PMGSY projects in the district.

A comprehensive discussion was held on various aspects of the ongoing works, including physical and financial progress. The concerned executing officers detailed component-wise information on works such as Water Bound Macadam (WBM), blacktopping, drainage construction, cross drainage, protection works, crate laying works, erecting of crash barriers, and the construction of bridges across different road projects.

The Deputy Commissioner evaluated the project-wise progress of various ongoing road projects, mainly Bufliaz to Mandi Phagla, KM 3rd of T04 to PA Thana Tir via Salwa, and Harni to BG. He directed the concerned authorities to expedite the implementation of works and achieve the 100 percent targets set by the government within the stipulated timeline.

Furthermore, DC Vikas Kundal emphasized the need for a thorough review of pending projects requiring clearances from the revenue or forest departments and urged the officers to resolve any outstanding issues promptly to facilitate the completion of these projects.

The meeting was attended by the Executive Engineer of PMGSY Poonch/Mendhar, along with all Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs), Assistant Engineers (AEs), and Junior Engineers (JEs) of the PMGSY Department.
