JAMMU, AUGUST 14: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya today chaired Block Diwas at Panchayat Ghar Chatha Farms in Satwari block, addressing a range of public concerns and development issues.
The event saw active participation from locals and their representatives who raised various matters of public importance.

The public brought forth routine issues affecting their daily lives, including concerns about water supply, road conditions, and power infrastructure. The gathering also emphasised the need for a playground to benefit surrounding panchayats, highlighting the importance of recreational facilities for youth development.

Flood protection measures against a local nallah emerged as a significant topic of discussion. Locals demanded crate work or similar interventions to safeguard their areas from potential flooding. The Deputy Commissioner took note of these concerns and assured appropriate action.

Revenue related matters were promptly addressed by the DC, with some issues being resolved on the spot. For matters requiring further attention, he issued necessary instructions to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Tehsildar for timely resolution.

Land settlement and refugees related issues also featured prominently in the public discourse. The Deputy Commissioner specifically directed the SDM to take suitable action for the public benefit regarding these sensitive matters.

Demonstrating his commitment to hands-on administration, the DC also conducted field visits to multiple locations in response to public requests.

The Block Diwas was attended by key district officials, including SDM Jammu South Atul Dutt Sharma, Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh, Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Vikas Sharma, Chief Education Officer JK Padha, Block Development Officer Sandeep Gupta and Tehsildar Arti Bhardwaj among others.
