KISHTWAR, MARCH 02: In a proactive initiative, Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav today presided over a crucial meeting  to finalize the activity plan for the celebration of International Women’s Day 2024 in the district  Kishtwar.

With International Women’s Day 2024 themed ‘Inspire Inclusion,’ the focus will be on inspiring others to understand and value women’s inclusion, aiming to forge a better world.

Dr. Devansh Yadav initiated discussions with Tariq Parvez Qazi, DSWO Kishtwar and other concerned officers, including representatives from One Stop Centre and various stakeholders. The primary agenda was to deliberate on the modalities and arrangements for the celebration scheduled for March 8, 2024.

Emphasizing coordinated efforts, the Deputy Commissioner urged the stakeholders including Social Welfare Department, DLSA, NRLM, ICDS, OSC, RSETI, and educational institutions to  organize a wide range of awareness activities aligned with the theme ‘Inspire Inclusion.’

The meeting outlined plans for a felicitation program, cyclothon, legal awareness sessions, screening of inspirational movies, exhibitions, success story telling sessions, and more.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed on the awareness and better  linking of Women SHG members with the financial inclusion programmes including the AVSAR and HADP schemes to enhance the livelihood opportunities and socio-economic upliftment of women folk.

This concerted effort reflects the commitment of the district administration to celebrate International Women’s Day in a meaningful and impactful manner, promoting inclusivity and empowerment.

Among others the meeting was attended by ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh, Director RSETI, District Manager NRLM and other stakeholders.
