KISHTWAR, JUNE 04: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan today conducted an extensive review of the progress made in achieving 13 Key Health Sector Indicators in the 13 Model Panchayats in the district.

He reviewed AYUSHMAN Bharat Golden Card Coverage, institutional deliveries, screening of targeted population for non communicable diseases, TB- control measures, interventions to achieve Anemia-Free villages, creation of ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) IDs among others.

At the outset, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rajinder Kumar briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the current status and progress achieved in meeting the key health indicators in the district.

To support these health initiatives, the DC directed the CMO to submit detailed proposals for the procurement of additional essential medical equipment, including Glucometers, BP Apparatus, Hemoglobin Meters, and other critical diagnostic tools. The additional tools will be provided to MLHPs, FMPHWs, ASHA Workers and Anganwadi Workers to facilitate on-spot screening of patients.

“They will also ensure the line listing of undertaken activities along with GPRS-enabled photographs and maintenance of record on a daily basis to be analyzed by BMOs to assess the prevalence of the types of ailments and strategize their action to control the same” the DC said.

It was decided that the Data will be put in shape in consultation with the DC before July 31, 2025. The CMO and MS District Hospital will act as Co-guides and help the BMOs from time to time.

The initiative will significantly enhance the healthcare infrastructure at the grassroots level and enable timely interventions, improve health outcomes and strengthen the primary healthcare system, the meeting noted.
