KULGAM, AUGUST 17: District Administration Kulgam today organized the culmination ceremony of Phase-III of “Vande Mataram at the Auditorium Hall, DC Office Kulgam, as part of the commemoration of its 150 years.
The concluding ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kulgam, Shahzad Alam
Senior officers of the district administration, including DIO,CEO, principals, teachers, officials,students and citizens were present on the occasion.
As part of Phase-III, district-wide competitions were held in schools across Kulgam to engage youth in patriotic expression and to deepen awareness about India’s cultural legacy and freedom movement. During the programme, the Deputy Commissioner felicitated the winners of the Essay Writing, Painting and Speech Competitions.
Students who secured top positions in each category were awarded certificates in recognition of their talent and patriotic spirit.
Addressing the gathering, DC Kulgam congratulated all the participants and winners and said that such initiatives aim to connect the younger generation with the values enshrined in the Indian constitution.
The DC lauded the district for its active participation and said such campaigns provide an opportunity to connect youth with the nation’s heritage.
He expressed hope that the district would continue to perform with the same spirit in future campaigns and that participation from all sections would remain equally strong.
ADC, Vikar Ahmad Giri presented the concluding remarks and thanked all stakeholders including departments, citizens, students, officials, women and others for making the campaign impactful with widespread and inclusive participation.
