KULGAM, MAY 16: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, today kick-started the Inter-Block/MC Badminton Tournament at Indoor Stadium Kulgam under the 100 Days Special Campaign Against Drug Abuse as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Teams from blocks and Municipal Committees participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing talent, discipline and sportsmanship.
The tournament aims to engage youth in positive and healthy activities while spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.
Addressing the participants on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the vital role of sports in channelizing the energy of youth towards constructive activities. He reiterated the administration’s commitment towards making Kulgam a drug-free district.
