KULGAM, MARCH 25: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam today visited ITI Kund and held an interactive session with trainees from various trades including Fashion Design Technology, Wood Work and Plumber.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner also interacted with recently trained beneficiaries under Mission YUVA and encouraged them to utilize their skills for self-employment and livelihood generation.
While interacting with the trainees, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of skill development in enhancing employability and entrepreneurship among youth. He urged the trainees to make the best use of available training opportunities and contribute towards economic growth.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Superintendent ITI to submit a detailed proposal regarding the deficiency of machinery and equipment in the existing trades.
He also asked for recommendations on introducing new courses that are in demand in the area so that the institute can better cater to local employment needs.
Later, he visited PHC Razloo Kund and reviewed the patient care facilities being provided at the health centre. He inspected various sections of the facility and took stock of the availability of medical services, infrastructure and staff.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for ensuring quality healthcare services and directed the concerned officials to maintain proper patient care standards and ensure smooth functioning of the health facility.
