KUPWARA, AUGUST 13: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today visited Shadipora Drugmulla and dedicated the ‘Bagh-e-Tehseen Eco Park’ to the sacrifice of the martyrs and the resilience of the citizens of district Kupwara in presence of Commander RT Brigade, Brigadier Ashish and Conservator Forests North Circle, Vivek Verma.
On the occasion, dignitaries read the names of martyrs and presented ‘Shawls’ to the Next of Kin (NOKs) of martyrs as a mark of gratitude in a deeply symbolic and respectful gesture.
The DC paid tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the motherland and recalled their contributions. She said that this was the first park which was dedicated to the sacrifice of the martyrs and underscores the District Administration’s commitment to remembering and supporting those who lost their loved ones in service to a greater cause.
Ayushi said that this beautiful will promote environmental awareness, conservation and recreation, and offer a place for people to connect with nature. She said that such beautiful projects not only contribute to ecological balance but also enhance the quality of life for the community by providing a serene environment for leisure and education about the importance of preserving natural resources.
The DC invited everyone to participate in the Independence Day celebrations and foster community spirit, patriotism.
Commander RT Brigade while complimenting the forest department said that construction of Eco Park by the Kamraj Forest division is indeed a commendable initiative. Brigadier said that local people have to play a positive role in the upkeep and preservation of this beautiful Eco Park.
Conservator forests North Circle, Vivek Verma and SSP Kupwara spoke on the occasion and said that this Eco Park will add to the major tourist attraction in the district.
Students of local schools presented an impressive cultural performance which captivated the audience showcasing their talent and creativity.
DFO Kamraj, DFO Langate, CMO Kupwara, CEO and other officers besides a large number of locals of the area participated in the impressive event.
