DC Poonch visits Shiv Khori Temple; reviews arrangements for Maha Shivratri festival

POONCH, FEBRUARY 29: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M.Choudhary today visited Shiv Khori Mandir to review the arrangement for Maha Shivratri festival to be held on March 08, 2024.

The District Development Commissioner was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Zulafkar, Tehsildar Haveli, Azhar Majid, Xen PDD/JKPDCL Aftab Hussain, Xen PHE Rashpal, XEN PWD/R&B Imtaiz Khan, AD Food, Adil Shabir, Chief Executive Officer Municipality, Yaqoob Choudhary besides other concerned officers were present.

The DDC discussed in detail the arrangement for Maha Shivratri  and inquired about the provision of water supply, power supply, Sanitation, security arrangement, Traffic arrangements, Medicare facilities etc.

He asked the respective departments to make all requisite arrangements to avoid inconvenience to the devotees during the Maha Shivratri celebration.

 The Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Medical Officer to organise a medical camp with the provision of ambulance to meet any emergency.

The  Executive Engineers were asked to ensure regular water and power supply to Shiv Khori Temple, while the EO Municipality was asked to put in adequate arrangements for sanitation. The Xen PWD was asked to repair the road before the festival.

The Temple Committee members thanked Deputy Commissioner and his team for coming to the Shiv-khori temple to review the arrangement for the festival.

Chairman Shivkhori Mandir, Surjeet Singh, President Shiv Khori Mandir,  Lokesh Anand, President VHP (Yatra Pramukh J&K UT), Nishu Gupta and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
