DC progress of District Capex Budget works in Kathua

KATHUA, MARCH 11: District Development Commissioner Dr Rakesh Minhas today chaired a meeting of district officers to assess the physical and financial progress achieved under the District Capex Budget 2024-25. The meeting was held in the conference hall of the DC office.

Chief Planning Officer Ranjit Thakur; Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineer RDD, Executive Engineer Irrigation and other district officers attended the meeting.

At the outset, CPO Ranjit Thakur briefed the DC about the status of the projects initiated under the District Capex Budget across different sectors.

The DC conducted a detailed review of the ongoing projects and instructed the executing agencies to expedite the progress of work to ensure timely completion. He emphasized that all works allotted under the Capex Budget must be finished within the stipulated timeline.

Highlighting the crucial role of each department, the DC stressed the need for dedicated efforts at the ground level to ensure effective execution of development projects. He directed officers to focus on quality asset creation and urged executing agencies to conduct regular site visits to ensure work standards are maintained.

The DC further instructed all district officers to strictly adhere to deadlines to prevent liabilities from being carried forward to the next financial year.
