POONCH, APRIL 22: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal convened an important meeting today with officers from the line departments and representatives of banking institutions at the DC Office complex to review the implementation of credit-linked schemes of Holistic Agricultural Development program (HADP).

The meeting focused on assessing the performance matrix, as well as the sanctioning and disbursement status of the Credit Link schemes in the district. The DC comprehensively reviewed the progress and achievements of several key initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Enterprises Scheme (MFME), PM KISAN, Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF).

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that achieving the desired targets in the agricultural sector relies heavily on the proactive involvement of banks in providing hassle-free credit facilities to farmers. He directed the Lead District Manager to ensure that all pending cases under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME) are disbursed by April 31. Additionally, he instructed the Chief Agriculture Officer to clear all E-KYC pending cases for active land-seeded beneficiaries of PM KISAN.

The Deputy Commissioner urged the executing departments and banks to maximize outreach, ensuring that every farmer and farming family in the district is covered under these schemes. He set clear targets for all departments, highlighting the need for close coordination between banks and government agencies to facilitate seamless implementation that directly benefits the farming community.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including the PO ICDS, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, AD Fisheries, Assistant Floriculture Officer, Area Marketing Officer, District Head KVK, and the Lead District Manager of J&K Bank and other concerned.
