JAMMU, MAY 22: A joint enforcement drive was conducted today at Chowki Choura by a team of District Administration to ensure strict adherence to transport and traffic rules and regulations.
During the drive, around 250 vehicles were checked at various points, of which 51 were e-challaned for different violations under the Motor Vehicles Act. The total fine expected from the challans amounts to Rs 1,58,200.
The enforcement team comprised Tehsildar Chowki Choura Parmod Kumar, ARTO Mohammad Saleem, Sub Inspector Vinay Kotwal, Motor Vehicle Inspector C. S. Billowria and MVTA Tarunjot Singh, along with supporting staff.
The drive aimed to promote road safety, discipline among commuters and strict implementation of traffic regulations.
