UDHAMPUR, MARCH 18: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, today chaired a meeting to review the status of arms and ammunition dealers operating in the district without valid licenses under the Arms Rules, 2016.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amod Ashok Nagpure, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Prem Singh, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Navneet Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Dr. Umesh Shan, Tehsildar, and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, the DC took stock of the existing arms dealerships and emphasized strict enforcement of legal provisions to curb unauthorized operations. She directed all Tehsildars to immediately issue notices to the concerned dealers, seeking details regarding the validity of their licenses.
The DC instructed the officers to ensure that no arms and ammunition transactions take place without proper authorization.
