SAMBA, JANUARY 21: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rajesh Sharma today visited Rani Suchet Singh Sports Stadium to finalize preparations for Republic Day 2025.
Accompanied by SSP Samba, Varinder Singh Manhas and senior officials, the DC reviewed key arrangements, including barricading, pavilion decoration, ground leveling, seating, and rehearsals by school contingents and J&K Police.
The DC directed timely completion of stage construction, sanitation, road beautification, and security arrangements. The Municipal Committee was tasked with beautifying the town and illuminating government buildings, while Social Forestry was instructed to plant trees. Departments were told to organize cultural programs, ensure uninterrupted power supply, and hoist the National Flag in every Panchayat.
SSP Samba assured robust security and traffic management. The DC emphasized inter-departmental coordination to ensure a smooth and patriotic celebration.
