SAMBA, AUGUST 04: Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan today chaired a review meeting to assess the implementation and progress of Mission YUVA in the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Champa Devi, representatives from J&K Bank and J&K Grameen Bank, besides officers and officials associated with the Mission.
Reviewing the progress, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized seamless inter-departmental coordination and a result-oriented approach to ensure effective implementation of Mission YUVA. She reiterated the District Administration’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and creating sustainable self-employment opportunities for the youth through continuous monitoring and timely interventions.
A comprehensive review was conducted of applications received, sanctioned and disbursed cases, Hybrid Training Programmes, Enterprise Mentorship Programmes and the overall progress of output tracking.
The DC directed the General Manager DIC to onboard more industrial establishments to expand training capacity. The Assistant Director, Employment, was instructed to intensify Hybrid Training and Enterprise Mentorship Programmes by utilizing DLIC-approved applications. Banking institutions were asked to expedite documentation and ensure timely disbursement of sanctioned cases. The District Programme Manager, NRLM, was directed to accord priority to Self Help Group (SHG) applications under the Mission.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed that all stakeholders must work in close coordination to achieve the objectives of Mission YUVA and ensure meaningful livelihood opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs across the district.
