SRINAGAR DECEMBER 17: In order to review the latest status and progress in implementation of Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP) and various ongoing projects under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo on Wednesday here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.

The DC also reviewed status of Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) aimed at strengthening farmer-centric services, boosting agri-income and bridging gaps in scheme delivery, focusing on digital integration (CSC portal), licensing (seeds, fertilizers), financial inclusion (KCC), and increasing daily transactions/income for these farmer service centers to make them self-sustaining and efficient delivery points for government schemes.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the latest status of applications received, processed and approved under HADP and JKCIP by agriculture and allied departments. He also evaluated achievements related to Kisan Khidmat Ghars, including progress in farmer and farm registration and issuance of seed, fertilizer and pesticide licences to Krishi Udhyamis.

The DC further assessed the status of Daksh Kisan enrolment, establishment of units, and credit linkage progress under various allied sector schemes.

The DC directed the departments to work with added zeal ensuring speedy processing and sanctioning of beneficiary cases, enhanced beneficiary enrolment, and timely uploading and verification of data on designated portals as per laid guidlines. He also urged banks to improve the sanction ratio to ensure timely financial assistance reaches eligible beneficiaries.
