KUPWARA, JUNE 19: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, along with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara, Syed Al Tahir Gilani, today conducted a joint inspection of various examination centres established to review the arrangements for the conduct of the forthcoming Re-examination of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET)-2026.
The inspection was aimed at assessing the preparedness of the examination centres and ensuring that all necessary arrangements are in place for the seamless conduct of the prestigious national-level examination.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Chief Education Officer (CEO), City Coordinator-NEET and other concerned officers accompanied the DC and SSP during the visit.
During the inspection, the officers undertook a comprehensive review of seating arrangements, security deployment, frisking mechanisms, availability of drinking water, uninterrupted power supply with backup facilities, sanitation, medical assistance, and other essential amenities for the candidates.
The duo interacted with Centre Superintendents and other officials, directing them to ensure strict adherence to the guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
They further stressed the need for close inter-departmental coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.
The Deputy Commissioner and SSP expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made at the examination centres and reiterated the commitment of the district administration and police to ensure smooth and fair conduct of NEET-2026 across the district.
