KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 05: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting of district officers and representatives of religious organisations to review and finalise arrangements for the Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to ensure that adequate facilities are put in place well in advance so that the public does not face any inconvenience during the celebrations.

The Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishtwar, was instructed to ensure adequate deployment of police personnel across the district, including Sub-Divisions and Tehsils, with foolproof security arrangements at religious sites and along procession routes. The Traffic Police, ARTO and DTI Kishtwar were asked to frame a comprehensive traffic and parking management plan for hassle-free vehicular movement.

The Majlis-e-Shoura Committee Kishtwar, led by Imam Sahib Jamia Masjid Kishtwar, apprised the Deputy Commissioner of various issues and demands. The DC gave a patient hearing and assured full support from the District Administration.

The SSP Kishtwar urged the Majlis-e-Shoura Committee Kishtwar to ensure that the procession is conducted peacefully under the leadership of the Head of the Majlis-e-Shoura Committee, strictly refraining from any sloganeering not permissible during religious processions.

The meeting was attended by SSP Kishtwar Naresh Singh; ADC Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal; ACR Kishtwar Idrees Lone; DIO Kishtwar Dr. Kuldeep Kumar; besides other senior officers and representatives of the Majlis-e-Shoura Committee Kishtwar.
