BHADERWAH, DECEMBER 22: Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal along with Member Legislative Assembly, Daleep Singh Parihar today inaugurated the work on a road project being constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)–IV.
The project involves the construction of a 7 Kilometer stretch from Ghurraka Road to Sharora via Sango, paving the way for all-weather road connectivity to remote habitations in Bhaderwah area.
The total construction cost of the project is ₹1919.04 lakh, with an additional provision of ₹153.52 lakh for routine maintenance after construction and ₹ 230.29 lakh for periodic renewal after five years, ensuring durability, quality and long-term sustainability of the road infrastructure.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairman said that the project, on completion, would improve mobility, reduce travel time, enhance access to education, healthcare and markets as well as contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the region.
