SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 22: Continuing its district-wide people-centric outreach initiative “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” Campaign, the District Administration Shopian today conducted extensive public grievance redressal and interaction programmes across multiple Panchayat Halqas.
As per the approved schedule, outreach camps were organised at Panchayat Halqas Chitragam-A, Chitragam-B, Nildora, Reshipora, Urpora-B, Handew, Kachdora and adjoining areas, witnessing enthusiastic participation from local residents.
During the programme, people raised various issues and demands pertaining to public service delivery, developmental works and implementation of welfare schemes. Officers and officials from concerned departments interacted directly with the public, patiently heard their grievances and registered the same for redressal within stipulated timelines.
Several grievances were resolved on the spot, while those requiring further examination were forwarded to the respective departments for necessary follow-up and action.
A total of 537 individuals participated in the grievance redressal camps and interacted with the district and sectoral officers. During the proceedings, 118 grievances relating to different departments were received, out of which 43 applications were disposed of on the spot.
