REASI, JUNE 18: District Development Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of road connectivity and infrastructure projects being executed by the Public Works Department (R&B) and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) across the district.

The meeting focussed on the physical and financial progress of ongoing projects under NABARD, CRIF, bridge projects, UT Capex and PMGSY. The DDC took stock of key road and bridge projects in Reasi, Katra and Mahore divisions, with officials reporting significant progress and a number of works already completed.

Progress of PMGSY projects was also reviewed. Under PMGSY-III, several projects have been completed with work on the remaining progressing steadily. Under PMGSY-IV, new road projects covering remote and far-flung areas have been sanctioned to further strengthen rural connectivity.

The DDC directed executing agencies to expedite work on projects facing delays due to forest clearances, land-related issues and contractor-related constraints and to address bottlenecks through close coordination with departments concerned.

Among those present were Chief Planning Officer Reasi, Superintending Engineers of PWD and PMGSY, Executive Engineers and other officers concerned.
