DDC reviews implementation of Self-Employment schemes in Reasi

REASI, MARCH 11: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik today reviewed the status of various self-employment schemes at a meeting held here in DC Office Complex.

The DDC took stock of cases approved under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Credit Card Schemes for Artisans and Weavers, PM Weavers Mudra Scheme, Tejaswini, Mumkin, HADP, schemes. She emphasized the need to process more cases under PMEGP to maximize benefits for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The DDC stressed the importance of promoting success stories of beneficiaries on social media platforms to create awareness and encourage more people to avail the schemes. Reviewing the progress of the Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), she directed the concerned officers to achieve all set targets within the stipulated time frame.

DDC also instructed the Cluster Head of Banks to ensure better cooperation in finalizing the self-employment schemes so that eligible individuals can avail benefits without unnecessary delays.

The District level implementation Committee on mission youth scheme headed by the DDC also approved 28 cases under Mission youth schemes. The DDC reiterated the administration’s commitment to fostering self-employment opportunities and urged all stakeholders to work in coordination for effective implementation of these schemes. The meeting was attended by ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, CPO Narinder Gupta, CAO Harbans Singh, DSWO, AD Employment and other concerned officers.
