DDC reviews status of upcoming telecom projects in District Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, MAY 29: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan today chaired a meeting to review the status of ongoing projects of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Reliance JIO & Airtel Telecom Ltd in District Kishtwar.

At the outset, the representatives of BSNL, Reliance JIO and Airtel apprised the meeting about the range of telecom services and progress of work on the ongoing projects.

Reviewing the BSNL projects, the DC directed to expedite the process of installation of all accessories required to make the completed Mobile Towers fully functional and operational at Chanjer, Yardoo, Margi and Brayan in Sub- Division Marwah.

The Sub Divisional Engineer (SDE) BSNL was directed to ensure the completion of the process of deployment of vendors within a week’s time to facilitate start of the work on the installation & erection of Towers at Qaderna & Pathgam and the completion of the same in a time bound manner.

The SDE, BSNL was further directed to follow and pursue with the higher authorities of BSNL to grant approval for installation of Towers at Gumri, Dherna and Mungli. He was further directed to conduct a joint survey in Ranie & Mungli areas on priority.

Further, the DC directed the JIO to complete the process of laying of fiber by August 10, 2025 to put in operation its services by August 15, 2025.

The Airtel Ltd was directed to expedite the process of planning approval, vendor deployment / allotment for Execution of works so that the projects shall be completed within stipulated timeline.
Telecom companies assured the DC that all the directions shall be implemented in letter and spirit on ground.
