DDMA Kupwara approves 46 Relief Cases under SDRF Norms

KUPWARA, MARCH 15: District Disaster Management Committee, (DDMA) Kupwara today approved 46 relief cases in favour of the disaster affected persons of the district.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan who is also Chairperson of District Disaster Management Authority, chaired the meeting and took a case wise review of all the claims pertaining to loss of lives, property and livestock damages.

During the meeting, a total of 49 cases, relating to the damage of residential houses and loss of livestock, and DDM death cases, were put forth for discussion, out of which 46 cases amounting to Rs 34. 24 lakh were approved for grant of relief under State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) norms and the committee also cleared 2 death cases. 3 cases were deferred by the committee for re-verification.

ADC Kupwara, Muhammad Rouf Rehman; ACR Kupwara, SDM Lolab, ACD Kupwara, ACP Kupwara, CMO, CAHO, Executive Engineers, Tehsildars and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
