RAJOURI, MARCH 02: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat, chaired a crucial meeting aimed at planning and assessing the arrangements for the upcoming Maha Shivratri Festival.

The meeting assessed different aspects crucial for the smooth conduct of the festival including security measures, maintenance of law and order, traffic management, provision of essential services like drinking water and power supply, sanitation protocols, healthcare facilities, and stringent monitoring of food quality and pricing.

In a comprehensive discussion, the meeting  thoroughly scrutinized each aspect  of the preparations. Emphasis was laid on ensuring proper coordination among departments to put in place all required arrangements. The Jal Shakti and Power Development Department were specifically tasked with ensuring uninterrupted water and electricity supply throughout the festival period.

 Recognizing the importance of fire safety, the concerned authorities from the fire and emergency department were instructed to maintain a state of readiness, with fire tenders placed on standby both day and night.

Furthermore, the EO MC Rajouri was instructed to ensure proper cleanliness in the town, underscoring the significance of hygiene during public gatherings.

In light of potential health emergencies, the Health Department was directed to make all necessary medical facilities readily available to address any unforeseen situations.

The District Development Commissioner underscored the importance of collective efforts and synergy among all stakeholders to ensure the joyous celebration of Maha Shivratri across the district. This proactive approach reflects the commitment of the administration to facilitate a safe and healthy experience for residents.

The meeting was attended by the  SSP, Amrit Pal Singh; ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ADC, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria; ASP, Musadiq Majid Basu; DPO, Mohd Nawaz Choudhary; Tehsildar Rajouri, Varinder Sharma; AD FCS&CA, Rohit Kumar; EXEN Jal Shakti Rajouri, Ashwini Sharma; EXEN PDD Rajouri, Mohd Rashid; DySP HQr and other concerned officers.

Members of the religious organisations including Rajesh Gupta; Suresh Chander; Subash Jandial; Pushpinder Gupta; Amrish Gupta; Deepak Sapotra; Gourav  Mahajan; Anshuman Chopra; Naveen Mahajan; Yougesh Sharma and Kamal Sharma were also present in the meeting.
