RAMBAN, JUNE 20: District Administration Ramban, on the sixth day of the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan, organized a Schemes Saturation cum Awareness Camp at Panchayat Dheeda in Subdivision Gool.
The camp was coordinated by Sub Divisional Magistrate Imtiaz Ahmed, Tehsildar Harjeet Singh and Block Development Officer Sadam Hussain, with the support from field functionaries of line departments. The local Scheduled Tribe (ST) community members turned up in large numbers and engaged with departments to understand the benefits and processes of availing services.
District Development Council Chairperson Dr. Shamshad Shan and DDC Councillor Saki Mohammad also graced the occasion and interacted with locals and encouraged greater participation.
Officials from multiple departments including Social Welfare, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Education, Health, Forest, PDD, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and J&K Bank briefed the attendees about welfare and development schemes. On-spot services, application processing and grievances redressal were also carried out.
The tribal population of the area welcomed the administration’s efforts and expressed optimism that such initiatives will pave way for the socio-economic uplift and inclusive development in remote and tribal areas.
